Travel new paths with United
Beginning in June of 2010, United Airlines began providing our first-ever service to and from Africa, with daily service from Washington, D.C., to Accra, Ghana. In addition, we’re extending our existing daily Kuwait-Washington, D.C., flight to include the Kingdom of Bahrain, and we are also adding a new nonstop flight between Brussels and Chicago.
Africa
Daily nonstop service from Washington Dulles to Accra, the capital of the west African nation of Ghana, began June 20.
The flights, now available for booking, are operated on Boeing 767 aircraft according to the following schedule:

Middle East
On April 18, United launched the only same-plane service operated from the Western Hemisphere to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Our existing nonstop service from Washington Dulles to Kuwait now continues on to Bahrain, with the return flight also stopping in Kuwait before continuing to Washington, D.C.

Brussels
United inaugurated nonstop service between Chicago and Brussels on March 28. This new route enables easy connections to points in Europe and Africa via Brussels Airlines, which joined the Star Alliance® on December 9, 2009. The Chicago-Brussels flights are timed to offer convenient connections at Chicago O’Hare to and from dozens of cities in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Chicago-Brussels flights are now available for booking and are operated on Boeing 767 aircraft according to the following schedule:

United continues to offer nonstop service between Washington, D.C., and Brussels, as well.
Customers seated in United First® and United Business® cabins aboard all transoceanic B767 flights enjoy United’s International Premium Travel Experience, which includes lie-flat seats, iPod connectivity, more than 150 hours of movies and television shows on demand, and a selection of appetizers and entrees designed by world-renowned chef Charlie Trotter. United’s B777 aircraft will be outfitted with new United First and United Business cabins in 2010 and 2011.
